Prishani & Myren’s wedding at Durban’s MTSS Hall was a classic example of integration in South Africa. With Presahni being Hindi and Myren Tamil, they decided to amalgamate two ceremonies. The predominantly Tamil wedding ceremony had a bit of Hindi variation to it, with rituals such as the Havan, Seven Steps and the Sendhur being incorporated into it. Good work on Shabier’s part with regards to video and also to Dorian Spence and Darren Whitakker for the hard work in assisting me!
